Account Settings

Account Settings controls are accessed from the Account menu option on the Account Setup screen. 

To configure Group selection settings, go to Account Setup > Account > Account settings (https://app.velaro.com/#/admin/account/settings).

Details tab

Company logo

The company logo, displayed to visitors as the Agent avatar if configured to show instead of the agent headshot.

Clicking on the loco displays a file search and upload dialog box.

The logo dimensions must be equal height and width or the image will appear distorted.

Site IDThe unique identification number for your Velaro account.
Total Users

The total number of users configured to access the system. 

Total uses includes both online (the number of concurrent chat agents) and offline users.

CreatedThe date that the account was created.
Company NameName of the company.
WebsiteCompany website.
Street AddressCompany address.
City, State or RegionCompany City, State or Region.
Postal CodeCompany Postal Code.
CountryCompany Country.
Software License AgreementLink to the Velaro software license agreement.
Privacy PolicyLink to the Velaro Privacy Policy.
Save SettingsClick the Save Settings button to save changes to the Details tab.


Social tab

The Social settings are where social media urls are configured. Once social media logins are set up, the prechat survey can be configured to display social media login options to visitors. 

To set up social media login buttons for visitors:

  1. Set up the web OAuth integration for each social media platform to be used: see Integrations.
  2. Enter the homepage URLs for each platform in the form described above.
  3. Then activate the display of social media buttons on the pre-chat survey: see Survey builder#socialLogin.

Users can view visitors in real time
  • Unchecked: realtime visitor monitoring is turned off for the account.
  • Checked: realtime visitor monitoring is turned on for the account.
Enable Transfers to Agents
  • Unchecked: agents cannot perform chat transfers to other agents in their group.
  • Checked: agents can perform chat transfers to other agents in their group.
Enable Transfers to Groups
  • Unchecked: agents cannot perform chat transfers to other groups.
  • Checked: agents can perform chat transfers to other groups.
Enable Transfers to Tiers
  • Unchecked: agents cannot perform chat transfers to other tiers in their group.
  • Checked: agents can perform chat transfers to other tiers in their group.
Show Relative Date on Chat Lines
  • Unchecked: show the date/timestamp when the message was sent.
  • Checked: show the date/timestamp that the message was sent relative to now.

The relative date/timestamp is incremental as follows: Just sent, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 

Default Visitor LanguageThe default visitor Google Translate settings for all agents in the console.
Time Zone

The time zone for the account. All reports are the account timezone.

Individual agents can adjust their timezone settings so their date/timestamps are correct for their chat transactions.

Email from addressThe accounts email address, from which all emails to visitors and users will be sent.
Save SettingsClick Save Settings to save changes to the Settings tab.
